OK Go - Here It Goes Again

Are you in tune with pop culture? Have you already seen this wonderous video that makes me happy daily? Do you think Missy should marry the man with the pink/red pants? Does this inspire you to dance on treadmills with all your friends and family? If you answered yes to all these questions, you rock.

10th Annual Cookie Party!! Horray!!

The 10th Annual Cookie Party is Announced for Friday, December 15th at 6:30pm at my parent's house.

An extrememly special brown "10th Annual Cookie Party" t-shirt is available for the measly price of $10.

I have sent an email with specific details, but please let me know if you want to order a t-shirt, and the sizes. If you have any questions, call or email me. If you didn't get an email- let me know.

No, the picture of Lara, Sienna and the frickn' huge gingerbread man was not taken at the cookie party. However, I feel the size of the gingerbread man embodies the size and spirit of the cookie party. Don't you agree?

Me Ra and Me

Last night Jared took me out to dinner and suprised me with an early Christmas present. It's huge! He is sending me to Seattle for a photography workshop called "Documenting a Child's Life." It's run by a photographer, named Me Ra Koh, whose work I love. Check out her her blog and website, Dan Bos wrote the music for it

This is Fall in Texas

This is Cadence and Eli with their friends Cameron and Carrie. Simone gets together with their Mom, Cindy, every week.

Cindy is a web designer and took these pictures. Aren't they good? And isn't Eli cute? This is a great shot of his smile - something we see everyday. What you can't see is his belly laugh.

little girl names???

Scott and I are having the hardest time coming up with a little girl name that we both agree on. He likes the names with strong consonants and 2 or more syllables, whereas I like names with softer vowel sounds (generally) and I like the short names, too. He doesn't think one syllable names sound good with Wozniak--but then again, it's not exactly a name that "goes" well with anything. The one downfall of marrying a Polish! ;) Anyway, I know I'm really asking for it by seeking out suggestions for girl names that you all like, knowing well that I'll get quite an array of some joke names...; however, if you have any suggestions, I'd be interested to see what you have to say. The only thing that would have been easier about having a boy this time 'round was that we had a boy name already picked out from last time. Now the girl name hunt is on!

BINGO Baby

92 East's latest obsession has been Scrabble. It began when we watched a documentary called "Tiles and Tribulations of the National Scrabble Circuit" (I recommend it), and was enforced by a 3-day Scrabble fest during a recent Erin and Cody visit. A Tiger's playoff game was never watched without an accompanying game of Scrabble. Basically- we've been playing a lot of Scrabble. AND LAST NIGHT, I SCORED MY FIRST BINGO! For those of you who are Scrabble novices, a bingo is when you use all 7 tiles in a word, and receive a 50 point bonus. Do you see my word? Isn't it a beauty?

There's just something about the way he said it.......

I just sat through a presentation to my 6th grade boys on "growing up". Let me paint you a picture of the video's setting:
  • Beginning: Loud 80's rock 'n roll with a guitarist flying across the stage
  • Next, the rocker himelf, appeared on camera in his vintage studio, holding a semi-hollow body, dual humbucker, Fender Telecaster guitar. He had big hair and was wearing a black leather vest. On TV monitors in the background video clips of the rocker in his glory days played at 1.5 times normal speed.
The rocker then proceeded to drop words like: puberty, rhythym, ova, and my personal favorite, testes. There is just something about an 80's rocker-turned health advocate saying the word testes. It was all I could do to keep my 6th grade snicker held in. After all, I'm supposed to be a role model.

This was our third annual Halloween on Main Street. Our church stole the show, Again.

Here are Cadence and Eli - in costume and in character.

The Force Strong With You Is

Forgive the title, I don't quite know exactly how Yoda talks. Thought you might like to see this for giggles. I can't get enough of those ears and might use the hood for the rest of the winter. Is that child abuse? Guess I should know :)

Me? Something to say?

I have know idea why Denise would wonder if I had anything to post about or pictures to post... Could she mean the fact that I ran my fastest marathon ever this past weekend and smashed my previous personal record by fifteen minutes? That's right, I had a really great run this weekend! More likely, I think she is refering to a certain someone who came along to cheer me on.

Friends, I'd like to introduce you to my girlfriend, Lisa! These pictures are from this past weekend in Detroit.

Lisa and I have really only known each other for a short time, but I feel like I've known her much longer. I met Lisa through our mutual friend, Dr. Neil Clark Warren. The more we talked, the more we realized that we are quite a bit alike in personality and interests. Those of you who are fortunate enough to have met Lisa know that she is really great. Those of you who haven't yet... well, if you do, I'm sure you'll agree.

By the way, if you're wondering what the white stuff is on my face in the second picture, it's salt. I just finished running a marathon, and I sweated a lot, okay?
