The Day has arrived!!!!

Hello all Michael here, on behalf of our new family of three!!! We would like to announce the birth of our son! At 3:42 am on 7/14. Weighing in at 8 lbs 14 oz and 21 inches long by 13 and 1/2 wide, in the white trunks with the white onesie and the blue knit cap, Ethanael Ira Morrish aka the detroit bruiser or cutie(depends who you ask). Pictures will be forthcoming, we just got home and we are all VERY TIRED..... Karen is doing great and everything went smooth and fast. From first contraction to birth was about 2 and 1/2 hrs. She's so awesome. Anyway we will be posting pictures soon. Probably tomorrow. But figured this would be easier than making phone calls to all of the people we love strewn about the USA. We love you all Thanks you for your care and support.

hello from tokyo

hey gang, i`m in a internet cafe in Narita, Japan, waiting to board a flight to Jakarta. i meant to post before i left Jakarta. i meant to post before i left, but ran out of time. i:m leading a team of twelve to west timor for the next week and a half or so. we:re going to be doing worship concerts, teaching, preaching, etc, for a number of days. kool is here with me, last night he took a bus and train to meet his little nephew nathan and rejoined the group this morning. i had a nice breakfast of fish noodles with eyeballs this morning and am ready to get to indonesia. please keep our team in your prayers over the next few days. we arrive back in the states on july 24.

Nim and Natasha

N & N

I mean, today Win and myself, Matt and Heather, Jason Kool, Jen, Sandi, Josh and Catie and many others attended the nuptials of Nim and Natasha. Missy and Denise couldn't attend as they are on a cruise in Alaska. Dang! Heather let my son suck on her finger for several hours while I took pictures of the wedding. Ya'll shuda' been there.

Taste of Texas

This was a 4th of July party out in the country at a friend's house where we enjoyed BBQed pork, chicken wild boar and brisket, great company, a rain storm (which we endured under a thin canopy), intense mud, guns, fishing, fireworks, and fire ants, adventure (okay, the fire ants were not enjoyable at all).
Here I am with little Carrie, the daughter of a friend of mine (covering her ears to avoid the sound of shooting guns).
Benjamin doing one of the things he loves best. He spent a bit of time this day explaining to the inquiring Cadence the laws and loves of guns, shooting, and manliness. I love this photo.
The storm finally pulling out and sunset looking beautiful. It is true what they way about Texas - big sky and all... and if you don't like the weather, just wait 5 minutes, it will change again.

It was a great day but we were literally covered in mud and few fire ant bits per limb by the time we left.

Just 3 weeks left

Delivery time is coming. I can't believe being pregant is almost over. I'll probably only get to do it once or twice more. It kind of makes me sad because everything seems to be going so fast and the baby's not even born yet. Last week I was dialated 2 & 1/2 cm and it hit me that I need to stop focusing on work and get ready. My dad and Evan came on Saturday and helped pull together a lot of the lingering nursery projects. I'm not done with everything, but I'm not freaking out so much. They were great.

These are pictures from some of my baby showers by the way. The top one is me with my mommys. I have a friend from church that I had two photo shoots with (the bottom one is from those). I haven't purchased the others yet so I can't post them. I don't know if I'll be able to even then. You'll all just have to come visit to see them up in the nursery. I believe I've snagged Ben, Simone, the boys, and Missy so far. Who else will visit me and new baby in the D?
