My New Ride
Oh yes, I am the proud owner of this brand new (to me) 1978 German-made Sachs Westlake moped. Pedal-start, gets 130-150 miles per gallon (yes that's right), tops out at about 30 miles per hour. It rocks. Straight from the late 70's oil crisis. Josh Powell let me ride his 1978 Puch, and I fell in love.

I love this bike! I love this bike! I felt way cooler than I actually am when I rode the bike. I felt like I was running away from the bad guys in post-war Germany-- escaping across the Berlin Wall under a little crack that only allowed me and my bike. Well... I wish it was my bike. It's so frickn' awesome!

Oh, this is too cool.
Jared, this really is Simone writing. I grew up with my dad riding a yellow moped (who knows from when or where) but surely the 70s as there are pics with me as a baby IN a backpack on his back while he rode it. Not the safest thing, but it wa the 70s.

Jared...can we do a reenactment of the classic "Harry & Lloyd" Dumb and Dumber scene?
Lloyd: "Just when I think you can't get any dumber, you go and do something like this.........AND TOTALLY REDEEM YOURSELF!!"
Harry: "Still wanna go to Aspen?"
Lloyd: (putting on a ridiculously small helmet) "OH YEAH!!!"
