Tennant 1-2-3
The last few months have been pretty monumental for the Tennant family. This is what we call the Tennant 1-2-3.
1) Simone completed her first Olympic distance triathlon. That's a 1 mile swim, 26 mile bike ride, and a 6 mile run. Yeah Simone! (especially considering #3 was already in effect)
2) We bought our 2nd house! (meaning, the 2nd one we have ever owned) We moved in, and we like it. We now live in Pflugerville. Our pfamily has lots of pfun here.
3) We are having our 3rd baby in early December! You guys didn't think we were done did you? We just gave ya'll some time to catch up :)
There is also a picture of Daddy and Cadence sparring. Both Daddy and Cadence viciously and quite purposefully struck each other during the action. It's all part of the training.

Congratulations! Simone that's amazing! A baby, a house and a triathalon..and all in the same life time. Quite an accomplishment! More than I could take on. We sure miss you guys. The boy look all grown up! Ben, the bongos just aren't the same with out you.

Tennants,
What a huge month! Jared and I are so excited for you guys. That house looks really nice, we would love it if you posted more pictures.
How far along are you Simone? We finally get to be pregnant at the same time! if in different states. Was the triathlon more difficult? I found that exercise became more difficult around 9 weeks. (Secretly I'm praying for a boy. I LOVE dynasty families.)
Love,

Training for what is what I would like to know?
Congratulations to you guys--I suspected you weren't done. Can't wait to see just how cute baby # 3 will be. Good job!!
And a triathalon while pregnant?
Wow!
That post was so clever, it just reminds me of how brilliantly talented Simone is as a writer.

YEAH!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! On everything-- but especially on baby #3. How amazing!

I thought of you yesterday Simone when I saw an Olympic license plate. I totally thought, Simone's going to be in the Olympics some day. It's one of those things that seems incredibly impossible to me that you just power through as a matter of fact. You're awesome. I'm so happy about your little baby :) Rachel, you never posted about being pregnant - when are you due? what's a dynasty family - anything to do with the Dallas evening soap. Tennants, I love that you say ya'll.

that wasn't tony and mike. it was me :)

Karen,
I was wondering who Tony and Mike were?!
A dynasty family is a family of all the same gender. You know "those Tennant boys" or "those Gibson girls."
Our ultrasound in on Thursday and I am really hoping it reveals a boy. I know that girls are great and I would love having one. I just want a close brother for Win.

Thanks you guys.
Rach, I'm about 7 or 8 weeks along. I'll know for sure after my appointment with the midwife tomorrow. No ultrasound for us, now that we are paying everything out of pocket. Just natural surprises.
Yeah, this longer distance triathlon was harder on me than I anticipated. I've been training rather regimented for months but the pregnant thing clearly made it tough. I also didn't push myself as much as I normally would. I wore a heart rate monitor and, well, monitored myself. Do any of you guys train with heart rate monitors? Super great and very informing. (I'm hoping Matt notices all the gear in that photo: wireless bike computer w/ Cadence, tri drink holder, 30 lap ironman watch/HR monitor. These were all birthday presents.)
Seeing how I've been very nauseous all stickin' day, it really wears me down and hurt me on the run the most, as I was running out of fuel and the thought of downing more clif shots just sounded disgusting (as do most foods in the first trimester). I did come in 5th in my age group though, so that was nice. Several times during the race I couldn't help but yell out "Hey ya’ll, I'm pregnant!" to encourage myself and get "you go girl!" shouts from women.
Rachel, didn’t you have that desire to let everyone know when you ran that marathon while pregnant for Win?
I've been working with 6 ladies and inspired them to do the women's only Danskin Triathlon in June, so that will be my last this season.

Is that your yota van? we have the same one! i love it. never thought i'd say that about a minivan, but what can ya do?
Congrats on #3...hang on...it's a bumpy ride!
8:30 PM
Amy, yes, that is our 'yota. All I can say is 250,000 miles.
Jared, thanks for the call the other night. That was nice. I can't wait to talk to you some more.
Even though my Dad has promised to populate the world through Tennant alpha males, we are hoping a bit for a girl. I love having sisters.

That last comment was actually from me.
