9th Annual Cookie Party Announced
The 9th annual cookie decorating party has been officially announced- Saturday, December 17th at 6pm. The party, always a hit (at least this author would like to think so) has been the source of much craftiness and celebratory Christmas cookie crafting. As a personal note to the site-address of this blog, the cookie "Phelp" is fondly remembered. Any lists of excellent cookies/memories of cookie party past would be encouraged in the comment section of this post.

Such fond memories of cookie parties of yore linger in my thoughts. I never did win at the cookie contest, though. I guess Mr. LaBarge didn't find my cookie making abilities to be up to par with Lara's wonderful balloon cookies. Hope you all have fun! I look forward to hearing the results of the contest!

That is my butt 2 years ago and I am wearing the same pants at this very minute. I did win a cookie contest by copying Lara's style. Copying is the best compliment I'm told, but not very creative. I remember Heather's nativity cookies and a Homer Simpson
"dough" cookie.

Karen - that is really funny.
I remember a certain beautiful woman host that was sporting hot pink pants throughout the party. I also remember the generous LaBarge family, including a certain loug-haired red head, and the fact every year there seemed to be more babies scattered about on the floor. Oh, the parascites (spelling?) that first year! A huge 3-D christmas tree! THe sweet looking Swier.
I wish I could call my personal pilot and fly in for the occassion on the 17th. I hope you have a blast.
Make a cookie and dedicate it to the Tennants??? Please? I think this will be our first cookie party miss. Sigh...

Some people (me) have tried to copy Lara's style with no discernible success, so don't be too hard on yourself if you could actually do it, Karen.

It's "parasites," Simone :).
My favorite is split between the Well Band scene and Trevor Pegues funked out cookie that went with his ring tone. What was that he made?

Simone and Benjamin- trust me- I know this will be the first cookie party without you!!!! I have sighed many times thinking about it-- I love you guys- more than words can say (that's so cliche- but I totally mean it)
And- my dad has a special honing device for a funky/beautiful lara cookie (a blue moose is coming to mind)- which has yet to be deciphered.

Melissa, might I just add that I think you look exceptionally lovely in that photo!
