Vancouver Snow

So, Sienna saw her first snow on tuesday. Don't you just love the magic of waking up to snow for the first time of the season? You Michiganders might be tired of it and let me tell you, after only a week it's wearing on me but for that moment when my heart lifted and I found myself smiling it was the most magical thing. Sienna and I went for a walk (pushing a stroller through snow and slush is excellent cardio) and she seemed confused by all the bright white stuff. She's laughing now and making farting noises constantly (with her mouth, not the other end) and I'm finding that I am indeed becoming one of those gushing parents that finds it hard to think of something other than her kid to talk about. But, let's face it diapers and learning about schedules (then hopefully implimenting them) is my life so I can't' help it. We're hoping to make it to Holland some time after Christmas for those of you that are around and want to party like it's 1999!

Sienna is so beautiful that it is incredible. It is also snowing in Holland- this weekend we have had plenty. I had to wipe off my car several times and was slippery sliding as I drove Saturday night. I am so excited for you and Jeff to come to Holland after Christmas-- I can't wait to meet Sienna!

Lara I enjoy reading about things that fascinate you upon your entry into babydom. Melissa is right, Sienna is very beautiful. Isn't hearing her laugh like one of the most fulfilling joys?

Lara, great pictures. I loved that first snow. I loved how you described it in your writing. I know someday, we'll all be together like it is 1999 (with a host of kids in tow) and party hardy. I bet you are simply great to listen to gab about your great kid. Oh, and, it doesn't lesson in the next 4 years of her life... you'll always have something to brag about!

I want to see your baby girl too but I probably won't make it to Holland. Please keep sending pics though, and writing - I love your writing. I think you should write and illustrate children's books ;)
