1st Christmas

It's Abby's first Christmas, so of course we had to commemorate this joyous occasion with some professional photos. Maybe we're going a little overboard getting Abby pictures taken so often, but we just can't help ourselves. (Note: It took us a hour and a half and five poses to get this one good shot. It just figures that she is the smiliest baby every other time in her life except when it's time to get her pictures taken.)

Very cute Rachel. No, your not being indulgent. Just keep taking those picks!

Ben,
Did you mean "you're" as in the contraction of "you are" or "your" as in Flot's possession of "not being indulgent"...I'm having trouble understanding your comment. Just needed some clarification!
Thanks,
Denise

You are right in your questioning of my gramatical structure. I was, indeed in error. My intent, as you might guess, with the use of, "your," (which should have been you're), was to infer that Rachel was not being indulgent. Certainly she could not be in sole possession of that idea.

However, I would be remiss to not note your use of a sentence fragment in your rebuff of my comment. Does not your use of a fragment give credence to the notion that gramatical rules for blogging comments are quite abridged?

I KNEW you would catch that sentence fragment! I told Rachel, "Ben will catch my sentence fragment."

And yet, I decided to leave it in because it was used intentionally and for effect (the desired effect was indeed an informal tone appropriate for "blogging").

However, I appreciate and welcome all challenges to my use of the English language. I find you a worthy opponent. I expected nothing less.

Oh Denise, I would delight of some grammatical bantor. In fact, I am open to bantering about many things. It was really nice to talk to you today.

I like chit-chatting with you a lot too, Benjamin.

I was wondering if there's anything that sticks in your mind as essential wisdom for serving in a tavern, maybe something you might have gleaned from the fabled Zukey Lake years. I asked Stephanie Pegues the same question the other day and was much inspired.

Good question, Denise. I shall have to ponder that one.
