Gettin' crazy
Teaching prepubescents has been, well, a bit tasking lately. So I figured I had to do something drastic to capture their attention. And I figured that crazy hair day during spirit week was the day to do it. Good thing I love lots of attention!
We had a great church retreat last weekend and have set a goal of enslaving 200 adults in our Vineyard group by next fall. Hopefully, this is my last year of teaching. Michael and I and Sarah Hawthorne are playing at a coffee shop this Friday night, we have a guy coming to do a seminar on de-mystifying the prophetic (right up my alley) on Sat morning, we have Saturday Night Vine Saturday night and a Halloween party on Sunday night. So it's a big weekend. Big quizzes tomorrow in Spanish, as well.
Here are some pics of my lovelies.

you look "bad to the bone" benjamin. i know teaching is not feeling good to you and hope with you that you don't have to do it again next year. you guys are doing a great job with your plant and I'm so proud of you. little sapplings need a lot of tending though, huh? hope your weekend is successful and that you find rest somewhere in the midst of it (and the rest of your lives). seeing those pics of the boys makes me miss my western U.S. apartment (and makes me think you have really cute boys - look at those eyes, look at those smiles)

I seem to remember a certain education class at Hope Colege where each student had to teach a subject. And Benjamin, following up someone's "teaching" on being a lesbian at Hope College, taught a little workshop gem called "demystifying the charasmatic". Remember that Lara & Simone? Classic. Almost as classic as your kickn' mohawk. You rock. Good luck with the enslavement process- it sounds like you guys are well on your way! How exciting!

Oh, yeah, I remember how random yet perfect feeling that was to listen to Ben talk about demystifying the charasmatic in CLASS. Actually, Ben just found all his notes from giving that little speech yesterday. Yeah...
