new bathroom and kitchen

Last night Jared, Rachel, Missy, and Denise came over with the digital camera, so I no longer have an excuse to not post pictures of the work I'm doing on my house. Jared helped me drop the new sink into place at it's new location in the new kitchen and this picture is Missy and Denise commenting on it's splender. The next picture is the (nearly) finished bathroom project followed by the post-demolition, pre-construction of the bathroom. The next shot is the stove covered with tools and our good friend Kitty. She loves to explore the construction zone.
In other news, the Shadow turned 100,000 miles yesterday. To celebrate this momentous occasion, I looked down at my odometer and said something to the effect of "Man, that's a lot of zeros."

these pictures (even though i took them) do not do the kitchen justice. it is coming along GGGREEAT! Jason is doing a fantastic job and has turned into a regular Bob Villa. you should here him throw down the lingo like an old pro. I think i heard him say "...yeah, so i was mounting that trim up there and the wall was out of square so i had to scribe it and shim it to get it to fit. hey jared, lemme put down a bead of caulk then lets mount this sink in the rough opening." the kitchen rocks!

Now Bob loved Melissa more than any of his other daughters, because she had been born to him in his old age and prior to Becky; and he had his wife Jackie make a richly ornamented coat for her. When her sisters and Ben saw that their father loved her more than any of them, they hated her and could not speak a kind word to her. (Genesis 37:3,4 NJV)

I did notice the coat Missy - first thing. Unlike Jared who thought of the Bible, I thought of Mary Tyler Moore. And secondly, Jason's house looks sa-weeeet!
