Glimpses of the Promise Land

Michael just got the news that he starts his first job as a police officer on Monday February 27, 2006 in the city of Southfield! As you know we moved here in May of 2004 to begin this journey. It's been so long and we've given in to doubt and frustration and hopelessness all along the way, but God has been faithful though we haven't always been. He's provided a career near our families, in a financially stable city with crime :), in a department with integrity and high standards, and with the highest starting pay of any of his friends from academy. They will accept me on his insurance starting March 1, 2006 so I can stay home with the baby instead of going back to work if I want to. They also have wonderful insurance and don't require us to pay any premium at all! We are so blessed. The Lord has been working for our good all along. He's tying up all our loose ends just as they need to be tied up. May he help us be mindful and remembering of his goodness and faithfulness when we face trials in the future. Love you all. Thank you for your prayers. P.S. We have an ultrasound on March 7th and would like to find out the sex of the baby if he/she is cooperative. I'll keep you posted.

This is great news. I share in your joy. So does this mean that Mike can take me shooting at the police shooting range when I visit?
