Elliana's first day of school
My niece Elliana started a Spanish-Emersion pre-school on Thursday. They speak no English. They have a system where the good kids get their name put on a green light, the ok kids get their name put on a yellow light, and the bad kids get their name put on a red light. When my sister Ceci walked in to pick up Elliana from her first day- she saw that Elliana's name was the only one on the red light. What happened to my perfect angel???? Well, honestly, Elliana didn't understand any Spanish so, instead of listening to the teacher, she played with the toys.

At least she didn't cry. That's what I did when I couldn't understand my Spanish teacher... and I was in the 10th grade. I can't believe Elliana is that big! I can't help but notice that she has cool stockings like her aunt Missy.

What a sweetheart! Her sense of style definitely seems to have come from you Missy. And really, who wouldn't rather play with toys than listen in class.

Karen, you are so funny.
Missy, that is really funny. Are you serious, the red, green, yellow light system is really used in such a way? Let me know how she likes it. How is mom doing with the whole situation?

I love the name Elliana! That's the name of Abby's first friend! :)
I hope she gets on the Green light soon.

Ceci has set up a light system at home so Elliana can get the hang of things- in English. And yes- she does have my sense of style. Her favorite colors are purple, orange and hot pink. And often, when she comes to visit, she walks in the door and says "Aunt Missy- your daughter's here!!!!"

Awesome. Spanish immersion (how do you really spell that Denise?) is sweet. So is the class like full of hispanics or caucos. Maybe I should be teaching a class like that. I bet I would be more successful. I will be interested to see how much she learns.

You're right, Ben
