Japan/Indonesia
Okay, I know it's been a while, but I still want to post some of these pictures. We went to Indonesia a while ago. While we had a layover in Japan, I got to see my brother Joel, his wife Mary, and their son (my nephew) Nathan. It was my first time to meet Nathan, so I was very excited.
I don't know who I've told, but it is likely that they will be in West Michigan (Grand Haven) for the months of September and October. I'm very excited.
While in Indonesia Jared and I spent some time investigating different worship styles and indiginous instraments. We agreed that these would be great additions to the worship experience at Lakeshore Vineyard. Especially Jared's hat. It just catapults me into the presence of God.

Nathan is really cute- good job Joel and Mary! Is that a pink mandolin? I like Jared's hat too.

Nathan looks like a good tempered baby boy. It's neat that you're excited to be with him and your brother. I also love the use of the word catapult here.

I like your pink ukelele.

I agree, catapulting is great! Of course Natahan is cute. I'm not really sure what that pink instrument is. All I know is that it's tuned differently from a mandolin. It also only has four frets, which greatly reduces the number of notes it plays. I've never played a ukelele, so I don't know. I could be a pink ukelele with four frets. Also note the tuning pegs. I think that they made these themselves.
