Did our lives all get boring in the New Year, or just busy?

Hi friends. It seems slow going on the blog lately and for my part, life's boring and busy. With the new commute I'm away from home for all the daylight hours (50 of them) during the week. I'm tossing my cookies semi-regularly and sleeping for the others and feeling guilty about the state of my new home. We're also socializing a lot and realizing we need to cut out some "not see anyone or go anywhere" time. I finished my first trimester and we heard a heartbeat, which was very cool. My leopard frog died which was much more emotional for us than we anticipated. I got a new haircut with Christmas cash. I continue to enjoy leading worship at church and Michael and I are on the prayer ministry team every other month and are seeing God do some neat things. His gift of discernment is really growing and has surpassed mine, but that's OK. I'm not jealous; I'm really pleased. We're waiting for the Southfield Police to call and hire him since they've finished his background investigation, said it was all positive, and have him as third on their list of a couple hundred. We've been told 2 weeks to 6 months for a call. Personally I'm hoping by the end of February - the poor guy is fried. We love you all.

That's not boring. I feel like a bad upstairs neighbor because I didn't know about that. Does it hurt?
Karen, I really hope Michael gets that job. Lord, please help him get that job.

Ben's guide to emotional health.

1. Don't worry about the home. Just hang Mike's guns everywhere.

2. Sleep tons. See if sleeping a lot now helps after the baby is born. It's worth a try.

3. Play "La Bamba" on your belly once a day. That's also worth a try.

4. Call us for no reason or many because we love you.

The heartbeat does rock! I teared up which doesn't happen nearly as much as it used to. It's crazy that there's something alive in there.
Jared, did Lori run you over?
What do you do for a broken rib?
D, thanks for the prayer and
B, that advice is wonderful and I will take it.
