Austin City Limits
My friend Anna came down to Texas over the weekend of September 15th to visit AND to duke it up at the annual Austin City Limits Music Festival. We saw Nickel Creek, Los Lonely Boys, John Mayer, Van Morrison, and a few others we passed by but couldn't stop to listen to. It was incredible music, but rather intense, with the 1000s of people and the heat index and all. Anna claimed that, "this is the hottest I have ever been in my life." I kept telling her only 100 degrees with a bit of cloud cover is cool, but she still said it was too hot. Being jam packed next to 1000s of other sweaty bodies didn't help cool things down though. The view below was before another 20,000 crammed themselves in the area that Friday night. Anna being a huge John Mayer fan, we were close enough to the stage (thanks to a couple hours of working our way to the front) to see his facial expressions but not close enough to scream like teenage girls. It was a blast and having Anna here was refreshing.

You guys are SO cool. It looks like you had a great time, even though you were sweaty. Jeff and I were at a Rodeo in Montana when there was record breaking heat (over 100) and we were sitting there moaning in tank tops and shorts while everyone else was wearing jeans and cowboy boots!

How great to see Anna! It looks like a blast. I'm so jealous that you have occasions to wear a cowboy hat and not look ridiculous - I love cowboy hats.

I am finding more and more occasion to wear that super cool cow-girl hat. Really, even down on 6th Street late on a Friday night, girls are wearing cow boy hats. It is very acceptable.

Van Morrison is one of my favorites...I'm jealous.
How is Anna?
