Randall's Swim Meet
For those of you not in attendance- this is Randall- taking a break from working on the backstroke during his Special Olympics swimmeet this past winter. Right now, I am on my lunch break from a very long day of "teacher inservice" (read- an entire day of listening to tips like this gem: "Even if you don't have a pet- pretend like you do. It makes you look more human and kids love it when they think their teacher is actually a person".) That was an actual tip given. Well- gotta get back to work... and then feed my dog named "Go Home!"

Thanks for the Randall pict. And I am so with you on the teacher inservice. Although I have never heard anything quite that odd. My favorites are the school technology personel who think that they are running a CIA secure network as opposed to a school one. I probably would be fired if they knew all the crap I downloaded onto the computer. And who really needs a workshop on how to use email?

I am constantly giggling throughout the day at the great info you shared from your workshop.
I guess I don't miss those, but I do miss the laughing about them with fellow employees. GO get 'em, teach, you look and act very human, don't worry. If you do decide to claim an animal, I do hope it is a cat, seeing how those are your favorite of all beasts.

Oh yes. I remember the days of getting up to get ready for work while your freaky thumbed cat plodded around after me. Even worse, I started to like it. I mean, a cat who can show where it lives in Michigan is quite a treat.
